Feza Publications Inc.
Feza Publications Inc. was founded in 1986 and operated as a print media company. It was engaged in journalism and publishing. A Turkish court has appointed trustees to take control of the media group in 2016 based on allegations of support to Gulen Organization. The company owned Cihan News Agency, the Today’s Zaman and Zaman dailies, a Zaman magazine, as well as Zaman Kitap book publishing house. Zaman daily was, for years, among the top ten print outlets in terms of circulation in Turkey, although there was much speculation that the circulation numbers of the daily were being inflated based on free distribution of the daily. 12 of Zaman's former staff were arrested as part of the case against the coup attempt that took place in the country in July 2016. The company was shut down and the media outlets are no longer active.

This company and its media outlets were confiscated and no information is available about the founder, shareholders or shares. As the company seized its operations the study can not rate the level of transparency. Ali Akbulut was mentioned as a shareholder (25%) of Feza Publications Inc. in one article (see sources) but no evidence could be found in public records to confirm that.
