Akşam
Founded in 1918 by Necmettin Sadak, Akşam daily was owened by the Çukurova Medya Group from 1997 to 2013. It was sold to Ethem Sancak in 2013. Zeki Yeşildağ purchased “Es Yayıncılık” and its all media assets, including three TV channels, three newspapers and their connected websites as well as two radio stations on August 16, 2017. Akşam daily now belongs to Zeki Yeşildağ's company called Türk Medya as "T Medya Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş".

Born in İzmit in 1982, Ahmet Bayraktutar is a graduate of Bilgi University’s Political Science department. He’s been working for Star Media Group since 2011, and is the Chair of the Executive Board (İcra Kurulu Başkanı) at ‘T Medya Yatırım San. ve Tic. A.Ş’, which owns three newspapers, three TV channels and two radios. He’s a member of the Board of Directors at TÜRGEV, a charitable foundation where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's son, Bilal Erdoğan, has also been a member. The foundation came to public attention with a corruption investigation in December 2013. In January 2016, President Erdoğan attended his wedding ceremony as the witness.

Based on the book, "Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Bir Liderin Doğuşu" by Hüseyin Besli, AKP's 22nd term member of parliament, Hasan Yeşildağ is said to have committed a crime on purpose, just to be jailed for four months in order to protect Erdoğan in prison.
