Albayrak Media Group
Albayrak Group, which owns Albayrak Media Group, has taken many large public tenders ranging from construction of the Istanbul metro to producing tanks for the Turkish army, many of which were subject to controversy and investigations of corruption. Albayrak Media Group is the main media company of the Albayrak Group, it owns the daily Yeni Şafak as well as two TV channels and is owned by the Albayrak family. The family is known to have close ties to the ruling AKP and the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The group's revenue in 2000 was USD 150 million, whereas in 2008 it was up to approximately USD 1 billion. One of the areas that the group is most active in is public tenders on service and sales.
After Ekrem İmamoğlu took office in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in the June 2019 elections, the waste of vehicles belonging the municipality was discussed and the surplus vehicles were exhibited in Yenikapı. It is known that these vehicles belong to Platform Turizm Taşımacılık company, owned by Adem Altunsoy, the son-in-law of Nuri Albayrak, who is a shareholder of Albayrak Holding with his five brothers. The same company also won the personnel service tender for 2020.
According to the Trade Registry Gazette dated 6 August 2021, the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Group is Mustafa Albayrak.

The brothers occupy various senior managerial positions at Albayrak Holding A.S. One of the brothers, Ahmet Albayrak, was implicated in corruption scandals involving tapped phone conversations about plans to change the members of the state-run Press Advertisement Institution (Basın İlan Kurumu - BİK) in order to get more advertising for Yeni Şafak and making arrangements to support AKP in Trabzon for local elections. The Albayrak Holding is known to have close ties with the ruling AKP and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Since the mid-1990s, the Group has won various public contracts, some of which were referenced with corruption allegations.
