Ahmet Şişman was a businessperson. He was born in Bolu in 1951. He was among the founders of Ensar Foundation and its president for 21 years until he passed away in 2011. In 1995, he bought the publishing rights of Yeni Şafak newspaper (which was published for a short period in 1994 by other investors) and is considered the founder of the paper. Şişman’s funeral was attended by then President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Ömer Bolat was born in 1963 in İstanbul. He received his Ph.D. from Marmara University with his thesis on “European Monetary System” in 1989. After serving as the secretary general of MUSIAD for 11 years, he was elected its president by acclamation in 2004. He is currently a member of the Higher Advisory Board of MUSIAD. Since may 2000, he has been serving as the CEO of the Albayrak Group. He became a vice president of economic affairs of AKP in 2012.
