He is the chairperson of the board of Internet Haber Yayıncılık. Özışık is the owner of the most shares. According to Istanbul Trade Chamber, he is co-partner of NETHABER YAYINCILIK TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ along with his brother Süleyman Özışık.
It was alleged by Sedat Peker, accused of leading a criminal organization and having fled Turkey, that Hadi Özışık, the owner of Internethaber, acted as an intermediary between Peker and Süleyman Soylu, the Minister of Interior. Peker released Özışık's recordings. This incident illustrated that the political relations of media owners are not only with the government but also with third parties - people like Peker, formerly convicted organized crime leader.
Sedat Peker has been posting some videos on his YouTube account for some time now, especially targeting current Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and former Minister of Interior Mehmet Ağar. Following this, Minister Soylu filed a criminal complaint against Hadi and Süleyman Özışık on May 19 with the allegation of "insult", “defamation” and "knowingly and willingly aiding the organization without being included in the hierarchical structure of the organization". In the investigation launched on 21 May, the teams of the Istanbul Anti-Cyber Crime Branch Office raided the Internethaber office in Ataşehir.
In the wake of a criminal complaint filed by Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, İnternet Haber news website's founder Hadi Özışık and his brother Süleyman Özışık have been dismissed from media outlets, tv100, Haberturk and Türkiye.
Özışık claimed that he was trapped in the statements he made on his Youtube channel on June 9, 2021.

Accused of leading a criminal organization and having fled Turkey, Sedat Peker started broadcasting on his YouTube channel on May 2, 2021. While these videos reveal new allegations in the state-mafia-media relationship, they exemplify that the political relations of media owners are not limited to the government but also extend to third parties -- who are being wanted for the leadership of a criminal organization. Hadi Özışık came to the fore with the allegations that he acted as an intermediary between Sedat Peker and Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu. Peker released Özışık's aforementioned recordings.
Following this incident, Minister Soylu filed a criminal complaint against Hadi and Süleyman Özışık on May 19 with the allegation of "insult”, “calumny” and "knowingly and willingly aiding the organization without being included in its hierarchical structure". After Süleyman Soylu's complaint, Hadi Özışık's role as a commentator on TV100 and Habertürk programs was terminated. Süleyman Özışık's column in the Türkiye newspaper was taken from him.
